Façade Rehabiltation Rebate Process
1. Submit Application (and the following):
- Application Form (with owner's approval and signature);
- Plans and sketches of improvements, including awnings and signage;
- Paint chips;
- Cost estimates or construction bid (from a contractor), or a construction contract (if a contractor has been selected).
2. Staff Review
- Staff will review application and discuss any issues with the Planning and Building Departments;
- Approval - if application complete and project consistent with program goals.
3. Final Application Submittals
- Once the Application is approved, the applicant submits:
- Signed Rebate Request Form;
- Copy of approved Building Permit (if necessary).
4. Construction Work
- Façade work can begin once the steps above are completed.
5. Rebate Request
Once the work is done, the applicant:
- Calls the Redevelopment Agency staff;
- Submit original receipts of work completed;
- Redevelopment Agency will process a rebate of 75% of the work cost, up to $1,500, whichever is less.
