In the last 200 years this waterfront community has supported everything from cattle ranching to fishing to coal production. Today, Bay Point and surrounding cities are experiencing tremendous residential growth. The community is well connected to the Bay Area transportation network by Highway 4. Interstate 680, just 7 miles west, connects to Sacramento and Silicon Valley. The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) serves the East County area from the Pittsburg/Bay Point station, providing residents with a rail connection to most of the Bay Area and creating an even larger local consumer market.

Situated along the great San Joaquin Delta that forms the mouth of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers and north of the beautiful Mt. Diablo State Park, Bay Point boasts moderately priced homes and nearby access to fishing, boating, hiking and other outdoor pastimes. Bay Point's close proximity to San Francisco provide residents with unmatched cultural and recreational outlets, and it creates a built-in market for local companies.
