Governing Body
Bay Point is an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County, governed by the county Board of Supervisors. Community input is facilitated by the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council and Bay Point Area Committee. The area, approximately 1550 acres, lies west of the City of Pittsburg, between Highway 4 and the Suisun Bay.
Public Safety
Bay Point is served by the Contra Costa Sheriff's Department. Fire protection is provided by the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
Healthcare Services
The San Francisco Bay Area is a regional center for medical care, providing specialized services to Northern California residents from as far away as 200 miles. There are over 20 hospitals within a 30-mile radius of Bay Point. The closest facilities are John Muir Medical Center, 6 miles away in Concord, and Sutter Delta Medical Center, 8 miles away in Antioch.
