Housing
The Redevelopment Agency is actively involved in providing affordable housing to very low, low, and moderate-income households in each of the Redevelopment Areas. To date, the Redevelopment Agency has produced over 600 units including over 300 units affordable to very low and low-income households, approximately 140 units affordable to moderate-income households, and about 160 market-rate units. Following is a list of Redevelopment Agency Housing Projects
Bay Point
- North Broadway Planning Process - Currently in the Planning process for an 8-acre site in the North Broadway Neighborhood. The development will include single-family homes and apartments with a portion affordable to low and moderate-income households.
- Elaine Null Court - Fourteen 2 and 3 bedroom townhouses for very low and low-income households in Bay Point.
- First-Time Homebuyers Program - Provided low-income First-Time Homebuyers with Silent Second Mortgages
North Richmond
- HOPE VI Project - The Redevelopment Agency has partnered with the Housing Authority to apply for Federal HOPE VI funds to revitalize the Las Deltas Housing Authority Site.
- Community Heritage Senior Apartment - a 52 unit senior housing complex affordable to very low and low-income seniors.
- Parkway Estates - an 87 unit single-family housing development. 39 units affordable units to low and moderate income households. Click here for pictures of Parkway.
- First-Time Homebuyers Program - Provided low-income First-Time Homebuyers with Silent Second Mortgages
- 5th and Giramita Housing - a 7 unit single-family housing development affordable to low-income first-time homebuyers
Pleasant Hill BART
- Coggins Square - an 86 unit apartment complex with 100% of the units affordable to low-income household.
Rodeo
- Rodeo Senior Housing - currently in development. When completed, Rodeo Senior Housing will provide 50 units affordable to very low and low-income seniors.
